Handful-Herbs

Howdy howdy,
I trust you all are doing okay in all this heat. Watering the garden has become the highlight of my day cuz I get to get wet.☺️ It's been a challenge finding things to cook for dinner that don't heat up the kitchen! With that in mind I've included a recipe for Big Mac Salad in the last of the photos below that we often have in the summer. There are also 4 new articles on the site. Some current events thoughts on Roe vs Wade, a bit on whether Jesus is really returning, some thoughts on the latest shortage prediction, and some info on some of our new herbal teas. Jam-packed this time!

Don't forget the Bartlesville Farmers Market this Saturday. One of my fave ways to stay hydrated while working the market is by drinking Good Girl Moonshine.
It's a natural alternative to sugar-laden sports drinks. Do come see us! We'll be at the Market each Saturday morning through October. 8-11:30a. It's on the corner of Frank Phillips and Keeler. Stop in, we'd love to chat with you! 😇

Natural Websites

Natural Websites
It’s no secret nowadays. Natural things are disappearing from view on the internet. When you search for anything health related all the top websites that come up are medical or drug oriented. Joy in the Bittersweet

Joy in the Bittersweet
I visited the eye doctor the other day. And like always at every new doctor, my stroke from 8 years ago comes up. Which is a necessity. I’m not complaining. It’s been about 5 years since last seeing an eye doc, and because I still struggle with vertigo since the stroke, we were curious to know if there was any …

Holy Moly, I Like Those Rollies!

Holy Moly, I Like Those Rollies!
One of the things were going to be offering more of at the market this year is essential oils as Rollies. What in the world is a “Rollie”? It’s a Roller bottle filled with a carrier oil (like Almond oil, Olive oil or Coconut oil most often) w essential oils added. Why would we do that? Tbh, it’s my preferred …

Patience in Suffering

Patience in Suffering
Yesterday was a good day. A really good day. Today is not. Bad night.... so bad day. I was talking to the Lord about it and complaining a bit, and feeling the familiar frustration of one step forward, two steps back. He whispered to my heart that I needed patience. That brought me up short. Me? 😧I'm always the one …

Keeping Your Body on Point and Sharp During the Sickies

Keeping Your Body on Point and Sharp During the Sickies
Flu. Boo. 🤒 That’s been our lot for this last week. We weathered it with vita d, echinacea, elderberry and boneset tea, and got through it not too much the worse for wear (although boneset isn’t a pleasant herb to stomach 🥴). But I could tell I was getting a cold on top of it, so I continued with Ech …
