Thanksgiving might be over, but our family has much to still be thankful for.

My brother was admitted to the hospital the evening of Thanksgiving, and we thought we might lose him, but God was merciful and spared him. It was a close call though. He's finally being released today. Like, I said. So much to be thankful for. I was thinking how the Thanksgiving holiday these last years has brought us much heartache. 7 years ago was my stroke, 5 years ago my dad had a stroke, 2 years ago, my dad had his heart attack, and now my brother. Kinda feels like I should give up Thanksgiving as my favorite time of year. 😔

But you know, all those events were hard. So hard. And that's exactly why we can be so thankful for them. The Lord walked us through each one. And was faithful to be working his heart into each one, and bringing out the outcomes He needed for people to see him. So yes, still thankful for Thanksgiving.

And now, we're on to Christmas. The season of Hope. 💫 Hope in a Father who can do impossible things to help people know him better. Like sending the Light of the world into our despair.🎄

I've shared it before, but there's a link in this issue to our Christmas Story that we read to our grands every year at our gathering. There's no copyright on it, so feel free to print it out and use it in your home too. The recent Thanksgiving article is on re-run too (just on principle lol), and there's a new article just on boring every-day stuff in the Jordan's Crossing home world, for anyone interested. Oh, and our fave Cranberry Wassail recipe.

One last thing. I wanted to share a link with you. If you've not watched "The Chosen" series about the life of Jesus--you're missing something wonderful! There are two seasons with more to come. They also have an app you can download and watch and send episodes directly to your tv. Here's the youtube link for season one. Take some time to check it out. You'll not be sorry you did. 🌟

It’s no secret nowadays. Natural things are disappearing from view on the internet. When you search for anything health related all the top websites that come up are medical or drug oriented. Even when you put the words “natural” or “herbal” in the sites that come up are medical ones with their ideas on natural and herbal. (Sites like Healthline …

Joy in the Bittersweet

Joy in the Bittersweet
I visited the eye doctor the other day. And like always at every new doctor, my stroke from 8 years ago comes up. Which is a necessity. I’m not complaining. It’s been about 5 years since last seeing an eye doc, and because I still struggle with vertigo since the stroke, we were curious to know if there was any …

Children's Simple Christmas Story by Mary Beth Wine Once upon a time there were 4 little boys. The oldest was named Jason. (names have been changed to protect the innocent. ;) lol) The next oldest was named Connor. Then there was Joshua, and his younger brother, Andrew. They were at Grandma and Grandpa's house celebrating Christmas. 1 They weren't sure …

Cranberry Wassail Holiday Recipe

Cranberry Wassail Holiday Recipe
There’s an awesome cranberry wassail recipe I wanted to share. This was a huge hit at last year’s holiday gatherings. Take a one pound bag of cranberries, three cinnamon sticks, and 2 tsps cloves (or allspice or pumpkin pie spice) and put it in a pan with 6 cups of water. Bring it to a good vigorous boil, then turn it …
