Jordan's Crossing Herbal Connections

March 22, 2024

It's so wonderful to see everything greening up around here. The odd warm day doesn't hurt my feelings much either. I hope you're enjoying Springtime! It's sure cheering to the heart. Short and sweet this time--there's a couple new offerings for you to look over. More on getting older--apologies to all you younger ladies, but trust me, it's coming for you too.😎 This article's actually not as much on getting older, but on how so much stays the same even though we age. Also have a short article outlining our Happy Hormone Boost which has been a life-saver for different ones. Then a rerun from last month, and there's been enough new people that it seems a good idea to have a couple more reruns on the reasons and benefits of diluting essential oils.

If you need any of our stuff, don't forget to stop in at the Farmacy in Ochelata. It's a wonderful little store with so many brilliant, local vendors! You're sure to find something that takes your fancy. Look 'em up on Facebook. And you can always message us or email at JsCrossing@proton.me

Happy Easter to you all,
Mary

In All Our Life's Circlings

In All Our Life's Circlings
This life really is a circle.I just turned 60, but I'm realizing I'm still the same person I was when I was 8. In grade school, there had been a major hurt and disappointment in my life as a little girl. Looking back, I see how much it shaped all my thinking and doing. That event locked me into patterns …

Happy Hormone Boost Rollie

Happy Hormone Boost Rollie
I originally put Happy Hormone Boost together to help me through the transitions of menopause. You know, hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings (more like MOOD SWINGS 😬), anxiousness, and wanting to alternately punch people or melt into a puddle of tears (all in the same 20 minutes). It helped tremendously, and got me past the worst of it. …

Faith in Man or Faith in God?

Faith in Man or Faith in God?
I haven’t known how to say this, and I don’t know how to say it delicately, but I’ve seen it for a long, long time and it’s something much on my heart of late. So, I’m just going to plop it all down right here off the cuff. Please take the time to read all of this or you'll jump …

Diluting Essential Oils and Why You Should

Why you should Dilute www.jordanscrossing.net
I wanted to talk a bit about diluting your essential oils and why you should. To say it upfront: we don’t really much encourage using any essential oils directly on your skin without diluting them first. Folks tend to view them as mere fragrances. However, they aren’t just smells to enjoy at leisure, they are medicines. Highly concentrated medicines. And …

More Wisdom on Diluting Those Essential Oils

More Wisdom on Diluting Those Essential Oils
We talked last time about diluting essential oils and why you should. It’s not a fun thing to have an allergic reaction to an oil. I had an itchy, horrible rash all over me when I reacted to an oil blend after overusing it undiluted. And now I’m sensitized to that EO and can’t use it again without having another …
