Jordan's Crossing Herbal Connections

September 27, 2023

Hi again,
Lotsa things this time. Two new articles below have been posted to the site. One is a Bible study on End Times, but maybe not like you’ve ever seen it before. Stuff to think about for sure. The second is about Facebook, of all things, and how it’s changed and I’ve changed over the course of the last several years.

Also got a couple of announcements. JsCrossing will soon be selling our products out of the FARMacy Barn to Table Market starting this October. It’s located at 205 S. Ochelata St. in Ochelata just outside of Bartlesville towards Tulsa on Hwy 75. These folks are very in keeping with our ideals and are a great place to get home -grown and -made goods year round, especially once the Bartlesville Farmers Market is in its off-season. They offer lots of different classes on many self-suffient activities. Check out their Facebook page above and you’ll see what I mean.

Another announcement—I plan to be focusing more of my writing on Substack. It’s a writing platform via email that is a little more freedom-minded and less censored/fact-checked. They still believe in Freedom of Speech and the 1st Amendment, and many people with understanding of the times are there. I hope to share more devotionals and Bible thoughts about how to manage life in the “occupied” country we now live in. I haven’t got it completely set up yet so it will look a little “under construction”, but if this is something you’re interested in, you can join me and sign up here.

So that’s it for September! 🍂 Don’t forget the Market’s last Saturday is October 14. Hope to see you soon. Enjoy,
Mary

Buried Under a Pile of Our Own Distractions

Buried Under a Pile of Our Own Distractions
There was a time when I felt I was doing good on certain popular media platforms (that begin with an F). I was on there to spread cleanliness and to give thoughts on Christ that encouraged and challenged the thought processes. But now I don’t feel like anyone is really listening. Said platform since 2020 has a different feel. It’s …

How to Get Through (the already here) End Times

How to Get Through (the already here) End Times
I confess, I’m not of the doctrinal persuasion of those who believe Jesus is coming back to take us outta here before things get bad. Do I believe he’s coming back? Yes. But maybe not in the manner we think, and certainly not to allow us to escape tribulation. I mean, suffering for Jesus is one of the privileges of …

Wildcrafting Fall Herbs

Wildcrafting Fall Herbs
Wildcrafting local herbs is so much fun! Okay. Maybe not for everyone, but for me... oh yes! :0) What’s wildcrafting? Basically a fancy name for “picking weeds”. ☺️ At least many consider them weeds, but being herby-minded we don’t see them as a nuisance at all. To us, they’re medicine and food. Sumac (staghorn variety) is prolific in our country …

Growing Older with Dignity

Growing Older with Dignity
It’s kind of a weird feeling, this growing older. It’s sure a sneaky old goose. Before you know it, she sneaks up behind you and suddenly bites, and then keeps on chasing you around the yard! 😵You know how mommys’ lament how fast their little ones grow and everyone says they can’t believe their kid is already 9 or something? …
